Gunshots rang out in front of a brothel in Dusseldorf’s Rath district on December 29. Witnesses reported several men escaping in a car.
Around 1:30 AM, witnesses alerted the police to gunfire, seemingly originating from a dark-colored car. In response, the police launched an extensive search in the Dusseldorf area, assisted by the highway patrol on the nearby A44, A52, and A57 highways.
Initial police findings suggest that a dark car entered the parking lot of the “Saunaclub” and discharged shots at the entrance area. The bullets penetrated the glass facade, after which several men reportedly fled the scene in the car. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The precise sequence of events and the motives behind the incident remain unclear, as ongoing investigations are being conducted by both the police and the Dusseldorf Public Prosecutor’s Office.
