On Friday night, a man arranged to meet a sex worker at a hotel in Villach. He found her on a popular ad website and paid for her services ahead of time in the hotel room. But before anything happened, two men came into the room and made the man leave.
The 28-year-old man tried to get his money back, but it didn’t work. Since he didn’t get what he paid for, he called the police.
Police arrested five people
When the police got to the hotel, they found three women and two men in two rooms. All five people were from Romania and didn’t have a legal address in Austria. The men said they weren’t involved in anything illegal, and the women also said they did nothing wrong. Even though they denied it, the police still made a report.
The Klagenfurt public prosecutor’s office told the police to report the two men, but there wasn’t enough evidence to keep them in custody, so they were let go. All five people were told to leave Austria because they had no legal right to stay. They were taken into custody to make sure they would follow the orders to leave.
